STARTER KITS

A padel starter kit takes the guesswork out of your first purchase: a full carbon racket and a matching bag, chosen to work together, for less than the two cost separately.

Every kit is built around a racket that forgives — round head, a sweet spot where beginners actually hit, and a weight you can still swing in the third set. The bag holds racket, shoes, clothing and balls without looking like sports luggage.

That covers everything except shoes and a set of balls. Designed in Germany, delivered in one to three days, free shipping over 150 €.

Before you decide: our beginner racket guide explains shapes, weights and materials, and ten tips for beginners gets you through the first few sessions.

What belongs in a first set

A racket you can learn on and something to carry it in. That is the whole list, and it is why our Essential Kit is a full carbon racket plus a matching bag for 129 € — less than the two cost separately.

The racket in the set is chosen the way we would choose a first racket: a shape that forgives off-centre hits and a weight you can still swing late in a match. Our beginner guide explains why those two things matter more than anything on a spec sheet.

What the set does not include is shoes and balls. Shoes depend on the surface you play on, and balls are a consumable — this guide covers why padel balls are not tennis balls.

Questions we get asked

Is a set cheaper than buying separately?

Yes. The kit is priced below the sum of its parts.

What else do I need for the first session?

Court shoes and a tube of padel balls. Most clubs rent rackets, so if you are buying one you have usually already decided you are staying.

What if the kit is sold out?

The individual rackets and bags are listed in their own collections, and the guides linked above help you put a set together yourself.
